We’re hiring at Burra Motor Inn.  A vacancy exists for a casual handyperson.

Centrally located in the hertiage township of Burra in South Australia, Burra Motor Inn features 20 modern motel units situated alongise the picturesque, tree-lined Burra Creek, 350m from the town centre, Market Square.

As handyperson, you will be responsible for maintaining and presenting the grounds in an attractive, clean and tidy manner and maintaining furnishings and equipment in rooms. Duties will include gardening, cleaning, minor repairs, safe use and storage of tools, equipment and chemicals, and occassionally assisting with housekeeping.

The successful applicant will have demonstrated reliablity and enthusiasm, the ability to work unsupervised, within a team, and under direction, be well groomed, and take pride in their work. Applicant must be fit and healthy as the position does entail physical work. Ideally, applicant would reside nearby and/or have their own transport.

Successful applicant will be offered a minimum 8-12 hours per week and will be paid under the Hospitality Industry (General) Award (MA000009), wage level 3. There is some flexibility with scheduled work hours should you have other work commitments.
