Quick Parking Guide (TL:DR)

A fast overview for guests with different vehicle types: Standard cars & SUVs
  • Park directly in front of your room (rooms 17-21 at 45°).
  • Keep the footpath clear for pedestrians.
Vehicles towing boats, campers or trailers
  • Opposite or alongside the shed (Northern end), provided access to shed remains clear.
  • Parallel to the garden border (Southern end)
  • In front of the restaurant, close to building (keep driveway clear toward the roadside).
If unsure, pull up roadside first and walk in to check the layout. Campervans & extra vehicles
  • Adjacent or opposite Shed (Northern end, keep shed entrance clear).
  • Garden-border parking (Southern end).
  • Roadside parking is always available if you prefer more space.
Small trucks
  • Adjacent to the shed (Northern end), provided access to shed remains clear.
  • Do not park trucks near rooms.
Heavy vehicles (trucks, plant, large vans, noisy diesels)
  • Do not park near rooms.
  • Use roadside parking along the front of the motel (both sides).
  • Northern carpark may be used only if shed and driveway access are not obstructed.
General safety
  • Leave several feet between your vehicle and the footpath when reverse parking to avoid damage to posts or gutters. Avoid reverse parking on the Northern end.
  • Guests are liable for any damage caused by careless parking.
  • Please keep speed to walking pace throughout the driveway and carpark. This helps maintain a quiet and safe environment for all guests.
For detailed information on specific areas of the carpark, please continue reading the guide below.

Parking Guide

Small trucks and standard vehicles towing boats, campers or trailers

Because space is tight and the main driveway is relatively steep, we recommend first pulling up roadside and walking in to check the layout before committing. Please keep speed to a walking pace throughout the driveway and carpark. This helps maintain a quiet and safe environment for all guests.

Northern end

    • In front of rooms (rooms 17–21): There is room for one standard car, SUV, or similar vehicle. Park at a 45° angle to ensure there’s enough space for other vehicles to pass behind. This also keeps the footpath clear for guests walking through to their room. Please avoid driving right up onto the path itself, and ensure motorcycles and bicycles are not parked on the footpath so it remains clear for other guests. Please do not park trucks near the rooms.
    • Areas opposite and alongside the shed: Suitable for small trucks (access via Northern driveway), extra vehicles, or towing vehicles. This area is reasonably level, and the driveway side is under camera coverage. Please leave space for vehicles entering or exiting via the northern driveway, and ensure access to the shed is not obstructed as this is used for linen deliveries via the same driveway.
    • In front of the restaurant: A good option for extra vehicles or standard towing vehicles wanting a straight-through approach. Turn right as you enter via the main bitumen driveway, and park close to the building (as far over to the right as you can) so that guests can still swing in and park in front of their rooms further down. You can then exit via the northern dirt driveway without reversing.

Southern end

    • In front of rooms (rooms 1–16): There is room in front of most rooms for one standard car, SUV, or similar vehicle. Park perpendicular to the footpath, and ensure motorcycles and bicycles are not parked on the footpath so it remains clear for other guests. Please do not park trucks near the rooms.
    • Parallel to garden border opposite rooms: Where parking is cramped, or for extra vehicles or standard vehicles towing boats, campers, or trailers, park parallel to the garden border on the roadside side of the carpark, opposite the rooms. If you’re towing and not confident with reversing into that southern position, you may prefer to park in front of the restaurant instead, or simply remain parked roadside where there is plenty of room and easy access.

⚠️ Please take care when reverse parking

In all cases, if you decide to reverse park in front of your room, please take care not to damage the verandah posts or gutters. On the southern end, there is sufficient space to allow a few feet between your vehicle and the building. We recommend against reverse parking on the northern end. Please note, guests will be liable for any damages caused to the property due to careless parking.

Heavy vehicles

Out of consideration for other guests, heavy vehicles and those with loud reversing signals or heavy diesel exhaust should not park near rooms, particularly if they’re likely to start early in the morning. Prolonged idling or warm-up periods can push fumes into nearby bathrooms and disturb guests who have chosen our property for its quiet location.

There is generous roadside parking along the front of the motel (both sides of the road and either side of the driveway). In some cases, the northern carpark area may also be used, provided access to the shed and driveway remains clear. We appreciate your understanding in helping maintain the quiet environment our guests value.

Security & assistance

All main parking areas are covered by CCTV, except for roadside parking and the section alongside the shed. If you’re unsure which option suits your vehicle best, please don’t hesitate to contact us so we can suggest the most convenient spot before you arrive.
